Frequently Asked Questions
-
In our first session, my goal is to get to know you—who you are, what brings you to therapy, and how I can best support you. It’s an opportunity for you to share what you're comfortable with, and for us to explore your reasons for seeking services. The first few sessions will focus on understanding your experiences and what you’re hoping to work through. During this time, we’ll also be building the foundation of our therapeutic relationship, which is central to the work we’ll do together.

For both individual and couples therapy I charge $150/session.
I do not currently accept insurance as it can place limits on the therapeutic goals, treatment plan, number of sessions, etc. Its my goal to put clients first to ensure your needs are being properly met.
I can provide a superbill if needed for you to submit to your insurance company.

I do! I believe that therapy should be accessible and affordable for all people. I try my best to accommodate those needing a sliding scale on my caseload.
If I am unavailable to provide a sliding scale option for you on my caseload, I am more than happy to provide referrals to colleagues who also accept sliding scales.

I provide both virtual and in-person sessions. I understand that some prefer in-person session while others are unable to pull themselves away from their job or travel to the office each week so virtual sessions may be the best option. Others may simply not be in the areas where I practice. As long as you are in California you are eligible to receive my therapeutic services.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24-hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be billed for the missed appointment at the regular rate.

If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, I urge you to reach out for immediate help. Please call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988 for emergency services, or go to your nearest emergency room. Your safety and well-being are the top priority.
If your situation is non-emergent, you are welcome to call or message me, and I will do my best to assist you. However, please understand that I am not available 24/7 and may not be able to respond immediately.
Here are some other services lines you can use for crisis:

CONFIDENTIALITY
All communication between therapist and client is strictly confidential unless: (1) The client signs a release of information form or otherwise authorizes the release in writing. (2) The provider is ordered by a court to release or disclose information. (3) The client presents a physical danger to self or others. (4) Child and/or elder abuse or neglect is suspected. In the latter two cases, the law mandates disclosure of information to potential victims and/or legal authorities so that protective measures may be taken.
I am currently being supervised by Danielle Chebabi, LMFT which includes weekly supervision to discuss my clients current diagnosis, treatment plan, progress, and other important clinical information to provide the best clinical care until I am licensed. Additionally, because I work within a group practice, consultation may occur with professionals within this practice, however your identity would not be disclosed. And last, administrative assistants from my office may access billing and scheduling information.
Treatment of Minors and Individual Clients:
When a client who is a minor is in individual therapy, the parent or legal guardian has the right to ask for information about the minor's therapy, and the therapist, acting in the best interest of the minor, has the right to limit the amount of information disclosed. Please discuss any specific questions or concerns you may have about this directly with me.
